Several years ago, I watched a film about Helen Keller. I read a book about her life as well. She was born blind and deaf but her teacher taught her to speak, read and write. This unfortunate girl lived in a complete darkness. However, because of her will power and because of her teacher`s patience, persistence and unconditional love she discovered the world around her, she went to college and she wrote books.

Helen said: ``No pessimist ever discovered the secrets of stars or sailed to an unknown land``. Creative people are visionaries. They are artists, explorers, scientists and they are wonderment in the world. We are inspired by their creativity, by their optimism and by their lives. Visionaries have advanced mankind and have enriched the world. Idealists do not think about obstacles. Their goal is to fulfill their dreams and they always find a way to do it.

Optimists can achieve a lot because they never give up longing and wishing. There are certain things they feel to be beautiful, mysterious and good, and they must hunger after them. They know that if they want something very badly, they can achieve it. It may take patience, very hard work, a real struggle, and a long time; but it can be done. Within each visionary there is the potential to build the empire of his/her wishes. The secret of making something work in your life is, first of all, the deep desire to make it work; then the faith and belief that it can work; then to hold that clear definite vision in your conscience and see it working out step by step, without one thought of doubt or disbelief.

You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.  That is why you should nurse your dreams and protect them through bad times and tough times to the sunshine and light which always come.
