I think none of the music courses available in Toronto is as comprehensive as it is. No other program offers the same blend of creative, technological, contextual, business and technology courses.
I was more inclined towards creative aspect of music. I never knew that there is much beyond singing and performance before I enrolled in this course. I was unaware of the technical and business aspects of music industry. And I’m really proud of my decision to join Centennial after completing high school.
Joining Centennial was not a sudden decision. I considered everything, including the program curriculum and length, experience of faculty, facilities available at the college, industry placement, and the availability of performance and recording opportunities and of course, Centennial College course reviews. It was a well-thought decision. Now that I look back, I realize that enrolling in this program was one of the best decisions that I have ever made. It has had the biggest contribution in making me what I’m today.
The best thing about this program is that it prepares students for a variety of careers. It’s not necessary that you will make a career in singing only after graduation. Centennial graduates are versatile and culturally aware with strong technological and business skills. Career opportunities exist in composition, audio engineering, live sound engineering, music creation, sound mixing and editing, music marketing, copyright, royalties, licensing and publishing, social media, digital music creation, music journalism and music supervision and consulting.
I chose to build a career in digital music creation. And Centennial offered me a perfect platform. It equipped me with the creative and technological knowledge and skills required to create music. I owe my success to the college and my professors, who were really passionate about music and encouraged me to push the boundaries and carve a path for myself. It was a life-changing experience.
I will recommend Centennial to everyone who wants to build music-related careers. Guys, it’s a great program and teachers are very helpful. Moreover, cultural diversity adds to your experience. You get to meet people from different backgrounds, learn about different music cultures and understand the role of music in shaping up various cultures. Plus you make great friends here.
