Keeping clean is essential to all of us and for so many reasons. Not only is keeping clean important for hygiene but it is also important for social reasons and somebody that does not maintain personal hygiene is likely to be shunned by society. Bathing is not only important among humans though of course as many species of animals also bathe whenever they get the opportunity. Yet, without the opportunity to use stylish Bristan Showers, for example, creatures in the natural world need to find other solutions to suit their bathing problems.

Mud, Mud, Glorious Mud

Whereas you and I would be likely to shower to remove mud, other creatures use mud as we would soap and water. Large animals in particular will wallow in mud to help protect their skin from the sun and from parasites. It also helps them to cool down so you can expect to find them lazing around in mud pools as you would find us lazing in a hot bath. It is thought by some people that mud also helps to cleanse the body of various toxins so some people also have a mud bath when they can to help detoxify their bodies, or maybe just for some fun.

Rivers and Lakes

In the wild sources of water are usually found in a static position meaning they are the focal point for many creatures in the area. Depending on the local inhabitants, bathing in the water may be too risky for some creatures as there could be others waiting beneath the surface ready to make a meal of them. In other areas you can expect to find a whole menagerie of different species sharing the water to have a bath, for a drink or maybe even just for socialising.

A Natural Shower

Whereas we may use Bristan Showers, wild creatures also have a type of shower of their own as from time to time the heavens open up and water pours down from the skies. Many creatures take advantage of these showers to cool down and wash away the dirt, ranging from the very small to the very large. When it rains puddles also form and we have all probably seen small birds having a bath in a puddle to help keep their feathers clean and free of parasites. While you and I may be reaching for the umbrella when it begins to rain, other animals are preparing to get wet and get clean.

Wild animals can’t use the technology and fitted bathroom furniture we have available to us yet still they still have to overcome their daily struggles. Even without technology they still manage to get by and they have their own solutions to overcoming the obstacles they have placed before them.

Human beings are fortunate that bathing is made very easy and enjoyable for them and Bristan Showers and other brands that are available from many online stores make maintaining hygiene easy for us.
