In this article, I have gathered my favorite quotes from the Tibetan leader about a variety of topics such as love, compassion, peace, humanity, etc. Actually, it’s a very interesting, meaningful read for everyone from any ages or any religions. Enjoy! ^_^ 1. I believe all suffering is caused by ignorance. People inflict pain on others in the selfish pursuit of their happiness or satisfaction. Yet true happiness comes from a sense of peace and contentment, which in turn must be achieved through the cultivation of altruism, of love and compassion, and elimination of ignorance, selfishness, and greed.
2. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater is our own sense of well-being. Cultivating a close, warm-hearted feeling for others automatically puts the mind at ease. It is the ultimate source of success in life.
3. Only the development of compassion and understanding for others can bring us the tranquility and happiness we all seek.
4. If the love within your mind is lost and you see other beings as enemies, then no matter how much knowledge or education or material comfort you have, only suffering and confusion will ensure.
5. Human beings are such of nature that they should have not only material facilities but spiritual sustenance as well. Without spiritual sustenance, it is difficult to get and maintain peace of mind.
6. Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The importance thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.
7. In disagreements with loved ones, deal only with the current situation. Don't bring up the past.
8. A loving atmosphere in your home is the foundation for your life.
9. Live a good, honorable life. Then when you get older, and think back, you'll be able to enjoy it a second time.
10. Don't let a little dispute injure a great relationship.
11. Follow the three R's:
        - respect for self
	- respect for others, and
	- responsibility for all your actions.
