Air is among the things that we take for granted. Although it is true that God has given it to us for free, yet not many of us pay heed to the very quality of air that we breathe. Even without our knowledge, each adult person averages between 21,600 and 24,000 breaths each day. Yet we generally do not make the effort to purify the air or remove smell from it.

However there are many factors that outline the quality of our breathing:

Location: There are areas that naturally have clean area, for example, places with a lot of greenery and away from industrial plants. If you stay in such areas, consider yourself lucky that you can breathe good quality of air. Yet all the same, clean air does not mean that it will carry the best fragrance. You may still need to remove smell from it that may be caused due to many other factors.

Altitude: If you stay in the mountains, you may be fortunate enough to enjoy the smell of fresh pine in the air you breathe. Yet the air around you can carry the smells from immediate surroundings due to sources such as garbage, grass burning, etc. So you may need to deploy air purifiers or use some other products to remove smell.

Weather conditions: Factors like wind, temperature, air turbulence, air pressure, rainfall and cloud cover play an important role in determining the air quality. For example, in areas with high rainfall, the air contains so much moisture that breathing becomes uncomfortable.

Ventilation: For closed areas like homes and offices, it is imperative to have proper ventilation. Lack of it can not only effect breathing but also cause illnesses due to spread of germs. In fact, ventilation tools can also be combined with products that remove smell.

Trees and plantations: One of the best and safest ways of ensuring clean air is to plant trees. This will depend a lot on the space available and other conditions. In large projects that are being constructed, such decisions can be made as part of landscaping itself. Whereas in smaller enclosures like homes, specific plants can be used that are known to have air cleaning properties. Such plants may be indoor or outdoor.

Air Purifiers: When other methods are not feasible, you may also choose to deploy a commercial air purifier in your premises. Ensure that you select the right brand and also maintain it properly by cleaning the filter regularly. This device can also help to remove smell.

We must remember that our body requires the right quality of air at all times to function properly and keep us in good health.
