Do you have an interest in the field of Global Business Management? Additionally, are you analytical with strong numeracy skills, highly organized with an ability to plan and prioritize, thrive under pressure while being able to meet deadlines, have strong interpersonal skills, are an innovative problem solver and decision maker, feel comfortable working within a team environment and are open-minded with a willingness to learn new things? Lastly, have you already completed a college diploma or university degree in any discipline? If so, Centennial College’s graduate program may be for you.

Here is a closer look at some of the most essential details of the offering.

Because this is a Graduate Certificate program, Global Business Management courses are offered in a concentrated two-year format.

Essentially, the curriculum is a blend of strategic management and international concepts.

Courses are designed to prepare graduates to lead and manage effectively in the global business environment.

Because the range of courses offered is so broad, students gain skills that are transferable to several industries.

The first semester offers courses such as Accounting for Managerial Decision Making, International Entrepreneurship, Global Business Seminars, Information Systems for Business Management and more.

Among second semester courses are Financial Management, Global Logistics, Global Business Research and Analysis, and Marketing.

The program’s third semester includes courses such as International Baking and Finance, Comparative Geopolitical Systems, International Business Law, International Marketing and more.

To wrap up the offering, students attend courses that include Global Business Strategy, Corporate Social Responsibility and International Development, International Sales and Negotiations, Developing an International Business Plan and more.

Student learning is enhanced thanks to speeches and discussions with guest speakers, external competitions, presentation of research reports and industry visits.

Practical application of skills is a prominent aspect of the offering. The highlight of the hands-on features is a final semester Capstone Project. It is an opportunity for students to apply what they’ve learned by completing an integrated team project for a business client within the GTA.

This Centennial College program will also consider applicants with partial post-secondary and relevant work experience (transcript and resume review is required).

Once they complete the Business Management Canada-based program, grads are ready to enter entry-level roles in management with international organizations, non-governmental organizations and domestic businesses operating on a global scale.

Upon graduation, international students who successfully complete the undertaking may be eligible to apply for a work permit (up to three years).
