Interview: Milan Piperski, Pan-Slavic WBC champion Association

I train to challenge the world champion

In less than a year and a half, as in professional boxing, the former captain of the Serbian national team won in all eight matches so far, since the beginning of his career he recorded a jump of 1231 places in the world rankings. National team left in the tournament after an injury to Olympic standard, and at the urging of Nenad Borovcanin and Darko Popivode, donned the gloves and took off his helmet

As the Rocky. Rain had escorted us to the entrance of the Boxing Club St. Petersburg, on the west grandstand stadium in Zrenjanin.  We were welcomed by a professor of physical education Piperski Milan. This time in the role of pan-slavic champion in middleweight category WBC Association. In the hall where the ring and hardly fit the edge, highworking atmosphere. Run up, stretching, warming, hitting bags, exercise with a medicine ball, spar ... Everything is in perfect order and there is room for all. "How do you imagine this our room, better or worse?", With a smile, the story introduces us Piperski. From there the host and the other members of the club with a coach Srdjan Evđenićem headed. From rookie duo next to us and curious children - future members.
In his professional career, which takes a year and a half, Milan Pierski eight times entered the ring and out as many times as better. Wining by knokuot  against Bulgarian Dragomir Totev, Piperski won the title that earned him a jump to 39 place of the world ranking list. (At the beginning of his career was on the 1270th) from the amateur days, he left behind 250 matches, multiple championship of Yugoslavia, Serbia, Serbia and Montenegro, and the silver medal at the Mediterranean Games.
- I am very pleased done. Title and fights without defeat. Had I imagined - I thought of this. I look at it as an imperative for further progress because I proved myself to be - told  Piperski.

What  snapped you in profesional boxing?
The moment I left the amateur boxing, I was captain of the national team of Serbia. Per diem then the basic preparations was 100 dinars,(lower than one euro) and it was not that long ago. At the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games I knocked Azerbaijanis, the third in the world, and broke my hand. All of me is disappointed that I simply withdrew. I did not even want to box. I am finished school, did the army launched with Srdjan story of our club. Nenad Borovcanin and Darko Popivoda, my current manager, convinced me to go back and try to make a career.

In what terms now do you train?
All we need to do. It provided a Balkan Boxing camp with Darko Popivoda headed. Without them, I would not be where I am. What is in front of me requires more, and need to prepare and psychological level. I have self-control, I organized a maximum, the medical side there are Srdjan Evđenić and Miroslav Borovcanin, as well as other members of the coaching staff. I have to be satisfied. The same team, there is little but it's, it's the most important thing. Zeljko Malušić unconditionally helped us around the area. We have a lot of members and soon launching the free school of boxing.

You mentioned self-control, what was your childhood days in?
I was a restless spirit. Although I had no support in the Constitution because I was among the lowest in the class, I loved that Koski only bigger than himself. Right at the beginning of boxing training I retreated from the scene, so to speak - street. This is my personal proof that sport man directed to the right path.

What was it like the first match of your career?
I was 12 and a half years old and 26 pounds. We were very small, but in the ring it was and "blood" and fervor. I won, and won the cup for najborbenijeg competitors.

Nineteen years later, fighting and led to a jump in the professional world rankings?
Simply, there was a chance to fight for the title. There was not much time to prepare, and even the opponent is not all known. Yet I was accepted with open arms and it paid off. That's my motivation to train harder because they expect me increasingly difficult tasks. If I'm winning, in the world rankings being better and better. My goal is to get in the top ten and challenge the world champion. I'll try and we'll see how far I get.

You're known in Novi Sad, as well as any memories associated with that city?
In Novi Sad, as a junior I competed several times and was quite successful. I've met and the friends and opponents in the ring. I won a gold glove in Novi Sad, so that gave me a lot of important things related to the city. Often I go and train there.

Because of the hard words you're not boxed in Vojvodina?
I promised the people of Loznica I spar with them, and then showed up with a better offer Vojvodina. It is sacred to me and I could not allow myself to be overrun. Loznica city boxing and I spent a nice part of my life. Vojvodina have said that they can count on me in the next season, but because of the position of the box, this is unfortunately not the case.

Message for fans of boxing?
I would recommend anyone to boxing, because not everyone is born to be a football player and basketball player. I'd like to dispel prejudices and as far as boxing because people have them, especially when they need to begin to train. Everybody should play sports and exercise, so if anyone is interested in a higher level, it is easy to opt for serious sparring and fighting
