Jacques Henry Kallis is a right handed batsman and right arm fast-medium swing bowler. Jacques is a South African Cricketer. He played for South Africa, Western Province , Africa XI, Cape Cobras, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Glamorgan, ICC World XI, Kolkata Knight Riders, Middlesex and Warriors. He got selected two times as an ICC Test player of the year in 2005 and 2007. From 1998 to 2002 he was one of the most world's leading all rounder cricketers. During ICC Champions Trophy 1998 he won the title 'Man of the Match' and 'Player of the Series'. He is one of the four players in test history made century in five continuous matches. Kallis has a wonderful batting average in the mid-50s and called him as a best batsman in the world. Kallis is the only batsman to score over 10,000 runs and to take over 280 wickets in Test cricket matches. In 2005 he was awarded the Sir Garfield Sobers Trophy for the ICC player of the year. During 2007 World Cup Jacques was South Africa's leading run-scorer with 485 runs at the average rate of 80.83 points.
In 2010 third One Day International match he scored hid dual century finishing on highest 201 runs. Kallis' 150th test series he became the 6th player in history and the first South African to reach the milestone. In IPL 2012 season he played for Kolkata Knight Riders won the match against Chennai Super Kings. In 2011 to 2012 season, he scored his 2nd dual century in Test cricket series reaching 224 runs against Sri Lankan team. Kallis participated on the tour of the West Indies in which he scored his 35th test cricket century. Jacques Kallis played for the Bangalore in the first three IPL seasons and was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2013 auctions. In the year 2013 he was named one of the Wisden cricketers of the year for 2013. During Australia's103runs 3rd test match, Kallis struggled, taking 1/54 and 0/13 with the ball, while scoring 37 and four with the bat.
He played totally 162 tests with 9341 runs, 253 first class with 13338, 417 List A with 10650 runs, 134 Twenty 20 scored 2742 and 321 One Day International matches. During 2012 2nd ODI series South African cricket team won the match by 6 wickets just 1 run against New Zealand. In 2013 Test series Pakistan in South Africa 2nd test. SA won by 4 wickets against Pakistan.
