Customer Loyalty nets Honda CR-V Prestigious Award
Each year, IHS Automotive presents the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards which honor various automotive brands for superior performance in owner retention. To be considered, the vehicle must provide such a great overall experience that the owner returns to buy another vehicle of the same model, make or manufacturer. The Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards are presented by IHS Automotive and are based on actual model year purchase/lease activity. They recognize manufacturers for superior performance in owner retention which is a critical aspect of building and maintaining market share. Probably the most important award of all is the Polk "Automotive Loyalty Award." Loyalty is something that all motor companies strive for, and thanks to the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards, the companies with the most loyalty have been revealed.
We are excited to announce this year, Honda has once again made the list with the Honda CR-V topping the list for non-luxury compact CUV. Polk recognized Honda for having the highest owner loyalty of any brand. This means Honda had the highest percentage of households return to purchase another Honda more than any other car brand. Owners are the real critics and people who buy a Honda, love their vehicle year after year. The Honda CR-V was awarded a 2013 Polk Automotive Loyalty Award that recognizes superior performance in owner retention for 2013. The CR-V was honored for the “Non-Luxury Compact CUV” category for the second consecutive year. Honda has built a great reputation for itself over the past 25 years. Honda vehicles are known for their durability and longevity of any mainstream automotive brand. There is no other automotive brand that has a greater percentage of vehicles on the road than the Honda brand. This quality and reliability of the Honda vehicles has played a key role in Honda’s long-standing leadership in earning key industry value awards.
David Hendley, assistant vice president of sales at American Honda Motor Co. Inc., stated that, “Model loyalty largely depends on long-term customer satisfaction and keeping each vehicle at the top of its class, two things at which Honda excels.” Being recognized by IHS Automotive in two of the largest and most competitive vehicle segments illustrates both the quality of our vehicles and the customer satisfaction efforts of Honda dealers across the country. Winning these awards marks the second model year in a row for the Honda CR-V to win for loyalty, not to mention the fact that it is America’s best-selling CUV.
