He scored three hundred and twenty runs on the second day of Saurashtra's Ranji Trophy match, becoming the first Indian and the eighth batsman to score triple centuries (thrice) in first class cricket- all before the age of twenty five. He was the Man of the Match at the second ODI that took place at Kochi between India and England and he is also the man of the scintillating moment that is forever etched in history. I am talking about none other than Ravindrasinh Anirudhsinh Jadeja, also known as, Ravindra Jadeja.    The left handed batsman and the orthodox bowler, has been around in the cricket circuit for a while now.

In a sport, where the road to glory is a steep and an insidious one, Jadeja is well on his journey to the top, without having made many snags along the way. He first came into the national spotlight when he secured seven hundred and thirty nine runs and forty two wickets during the 2008 Ranji trophy. His success story that year earned him a spot in the team that was to take part in the ODI series in Sri Lanka. He was awarded the Man of the match title in the third One Day International series against Sri Lanka, on 21 December 2009.   During the third day of the India ODI series against England, he put up an all-round performance and even took 2–42 from his 9 over's. This little show of prowess earned him the "player of the match", which was the silver lining of the otherwise rain washed game.

During his second ODI series against England, Jadeja managed to score sixty one runs from just thirty seven balls, bring his grand total to 285, fifteen short of a triple century. Consequentially he received the Man of the match award which was another highlight in Ravindra Jadeja profile.   Besides playing for the Indian cricket team, he is also an active member of the IPL league. During the inaugural season, he was an important part in the victory of his team- the Rajasthan Royals. After his hiatus in 2012, he returned to IPL and was bought by the Kochi Tuskers Kerala for Dollar 950,000.  At the 2012 IPL auction, Jadeja was procured by the Chennai Super Kings for a record Dollar 2 million, making him the most expensive player of the season. And now after his monumental triple century, Jadeja is hoping to cement his place in the National team.
