The benefits of spiritual inspiration are many. Inspiration is not simply a source for artists or writers seeking to create a great work of art. Everyone needs a reason to keep on fighting and living, summoning the strength required to inspire others and be an example for their children.

People who experience great difficulties in life often are the best sources for inspiration. When these people rise up and flourish in spite of hard times, we are inspired to be stronger in our own life. When times seem the darkest, many people find inspiration in nature or the love of their family or friends. Seeing life as a gift from God keeps many people positive in the face of difficulties.

Nature is one source of inspiration that provides proof for many of us that God does indeed exist and is looking out for us. Acknowledging the intricacies of the universe and how we are all connected to each other leads to an appreciation for life. When you study science and recognize the wonder of the laws of nature that create life and the changing of the seasons, it is almost impossible to ignore the sheer beauty of existence.

The relationship we have with our pets allows us to experience a very personal look into another species. Watching a cat with her kittens or a dog with her newborn puppies is a moving experience; similar to the way a human mother interacts with her own baby. Domesticated animals like cats and dogs offer owners the unconditional gift of love. It is hard to resist the warmth you feel when your dog greets you at the door, tail wagging and yipping with excitement to see you again. Dogs inspire us with their unconditional love.

Human beings are social creatures. We come together in love and friendship to share our experiences, our celebrations and our sorrows. We inspire each other by showing grace and strength under pressure. We write joyful songs and poetry to express love and the celebration of life.

Spoken word has become a popular hobby and source of entertainment, inspiring audiences all over the country. Poets meet in coffee houses to read joyful poems to the audience. They recite long poems from memory, relating to their audience through the sheer emotion evoked by the images created.

Gardeners talk of the pleasure they feel when they plant seeds and grow flowers. Plunging your fingers in the dirt and smelling Mother Nature's earthy aroma is pure heaven to many with a green thumb. This is yet another example of man exploring and integrating with nature out of pure pleasure. It is hard to believe that putting a seed in the ground can erupt into a colorful flower in all its glory.

Life is full of inspiration. We bury ourselves in joyful poems and joyful songs to lift up our spirits. Maybe it's the rhythm or the words that provoke the strong feelings. Poetry in the form of music or song has the capacity to change our mood instantly, reminding us of special occasions and life affirming happiness. Finding inspiration in life gives us the hope we need to survive and thrive.
