Since the release of the iPhone 5 users have been anticipating new jailbreak software so they can install third party apps and other extras. So far it seems as though there is no effective jailbreak software for the latest version of the iPhone, though users of the iPhone 4 and 4s will still be able to jailbreak their mobile devices. There is no doubt that thousands of iPhone 5 users are eagerly awaiting the arrival of software which will allow them to jailbreak these devices but the cold hard truth is that right not it is simply not a possibility.

Although news of a jailbreak for the iPhone 5 quickly spread the first day the device was released on the market, software which would allow the average user to do this has still yet to be seen. Those who have an earlier version of the iPhone will certainly be able to jailbreak their devices though, using the appropriate software which can easily be found online. By jailbreaking one of these phones, you will have access to new applications which you could never have used before.

The fact of the matter is that iPhone 5 users will just have to keep waiting for jailbreak software to be created and distributed out a massive level. Although it is likely that at least a handful of people have already managed to jailbreak this phone, that does not mean that the average user can do it. Within less than 24 hours of phone's release there was news of a person who was able to jailbreak the mobile device. This however does not mean that just anyone can jailbreak their iPhone 5, simply because the software to do it does not yet exist.

Despite what many people think, jailbreaking one of these devices is fairly difficult and only a select few people actually have the skills to do it. Even after one of these phones has jailbroken though, new software needs to be developed in order for the average person to do it on their phone. So far there is Red Snow jailbreak software available for every version of the iPhone except for the latest one. It is estimated that sometime in the not-too-distant future there will be jailbreak software available for iPhone 5 users, but until then they will just have to wait patiently.

While it may be very possible to jailbreak this version of the iPhone, the software to do it hasn't yet been developed. It takes a long time and skill to develop jailbreak software, especially for the new iPhone 5 which still uses iOS 6. After a user jail successfully jailbroken their iPhone or iPod device, they will be able to download applications from places other than the official Apple App Store. This means that if you have a jailbroken iPhone, you will be able to start using third party apps which are not available through the company but rather independent developers from all over.
