Switzerland is a fabulous European holiday destination during the winter. The stunning Alps summits, pine trees and exhilarating ski routes attract tourists to Jungfrau and Zermatt in winter. But, Switzerland travel packages in summer can also boast some awesome adventure sports too. Lush greenery, summits, valleys and pristine lakes makes it a perfect summer paradise. So, head out and explore the summer in Switzerland with your family and friends.   

Paragliding: The scenic spots in Switzerland make paragliding much more of a delightful experience. Different cantons (states) in Switzerland offer unique and breathtaking views of greenery, mountains and lakes. Valais, Interlaken, Jura and Graubünden have picturesque and mesmerizing paragliding sites. You can choose to paraglide in one or all of these cantons.

Rope parks:  There are several rope parks in Switzerland. These offer an amazing combination of a great view and an adrenaline rush. With all these plus point, it should come as no surprise that the popularity of these fixed and suspended rope parks is steadily increasing in the Swiss adventure circuit. You can check out these parks in Interlaken, Zermatt, Monte Tamaro, Bern and Engelberg.

Hiking: As spring and summer being to glow with flowers, meadows and eye-soothing greenery, you can just step out and go for a hike. There are several trails in Switzerland that reintroduce the real treasure of this country. Some are light few-hour hikes that create just the right outing experience for your family on a European holiday. The popular hiking trails include Lavaux Vineyard trail from St. Saphorin to Luity or the Aletsch glacier trail from Bettmerhorn mountain station. There is also a fascinating water trail of Nendaz, which leads up to a breathtaking view of the Bernese, Valais and Vaud Alps.

White River Rafting and Canoeing: some of the toughest white river rafting sections of the Alpine waters are Giarsun gorge and Scoul. However, you don’t have to choose the most challenging route for rafting. The Volderrhein stretch between Ilanz and Reichenau has a great combination of thrilling and delightful rafting or canoeing moments. With panoramic landscape, this three hour experience is a perfect travel memory for all family members. One of the easiest one is the lower section of the Rhone River between Sierre and Sion.

Frankly, there are quite a few adventure sports such as a ride on tin toboggan, tin sleigh ride, mountain biking, bungee jumping from 220 meter high Verzasca dam, scooter riding, etc. And there are several destinations in Switzerland for every adventure sport. You can select and explore the best of adventure sites in one region. You can also visit all sites for your favourite sport. For example: You can combine major white water rafting destinations into a customised Switzerland travel package.
