Mike Hussey is a former Australian test cricket player. His nickname is Mr Cricket. He was placed at world's top ranked ODI batsman in 2006. He scored 15,313 runs in first class for Western Australia. He bagged the ICC One Day International player of the year award in 2006 and also he was named in ICC World XI. In T20 World Cup 2010 semi final match against Pakistan he made a stunned performance with a innings of 60 runs off 24 balls. In the same year he played for the CSK and won the Championship league title. He was taken by Chennai Super Kings in the year 2011 of IPL for Dollar 425,000 at the auctions. In 2012 he scored 89 against India in Boxing Day Test. He hit 3 centuries, two against SA and 1 against Sri Lanka.

Hussey played test series during the Australian summer 2010/2011 season he hit century against South Africa and 272 partnerships with Clarke. In 2011, tour in test series he was awarded as the MOM award. He played for all Ashes Test matches in 2009 in England and scored 276 runs in just 8 innings. In his first 2012 test match he scored unbeaten 150 runs and also he scored 344 run partnerships with Michael Clarke. During Warne Muralidaran Trophy he scored 6 test centuries with 133 in 249 balls against Sri Lanka. Mike Hussey profile was impressed by all the young Australian cricketers and he bagged many Man of the match award in test series. In April 2006 Hussey set a record to reach 1000 runs and also he was placed at the top 10 rank in LG ICC Cricket Rankings. He was taken by Chennai Super Kings in the year 2011 of IPL for Dollar 425,000 at the auctions.

He played totally 79 Tests including 6235, 19 hundreds and 29 50's, 185 ODI, 38 T20Is, 273 First class with 331 highest scores, 381 List A and 91 Twenty20 matches. Hussey is a left hand batsman and right arm medium bowler. In 2013 IPL match he played for CSK and scored 6 won the match by 4 wickets with just 1 ball remaining. He played for Western Australia against Tasmania in List A Ryobi One-Day Cup 2013 but unfortunately his team lost this match. During the Frank Worrell Trophy 2005 season he played for Australia against West Indies and Australia won the match by 379 runs. Ponting scored century including 149. He announced his retirement in 2012 after the Boxing Day Test match.
