Deepika Kumari is an Indian archer who is the World's number: 2 rank. She grabbed the gold medal in 2010 Commonwealth Games. Deepika got her training in the Arjuna Archery Academy at Jamshedpur. Then in 2010, she joined the Tata Archery Academy. In 2009, she bagged the Cadet Championship title award. She grabbed two gold medals in 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi, in both individual and Women's teams. In London Olympics 2012, she won the gold medal in the World Cup individual event in Turkey. Kumari beat Lee Sung of Korea by six set points and won 4 in the final tournament she scored 662 points off 72 arrows. In the 2012, she became the world's no:1 archer. She was rewarded CWG award at Sahara Sports Award 2010. She loses the first set and she won the second (29- 27), third (27-26) and fifth.  In the year 2006, she bagged junior compound gold medal in World Champion in Mexico.  She born on Ranchi.

During Asian Games in China held in Guangzhou, she won the Bronze medal in the team event along with the Rimil and Dola. Totally she won 6 gold medal, 2 Silver and 1 bronze. In 2008 Beijing Olympics, Women's category Banerjee, Devi and Pranitha lost their success in the quarter finals. In 2004 Athens Olympics Reena Kumari and Sumangala at 8th place in Team event.  Deepika Kumari bagged the most prestigious Arjuna Award by the India President Pranab in 2012. In 2012, Deepika and her Indian archery team lost the tournament by just 1 point against Denmark. She is totally different and energetic archer when compared to Dola and Bombayla. Great honor Arjuna award got two Women archers (Bombayla and D Kumari). She won the first World Cup in her archer carrier honored by Tata Steel and also she also named 'Sportsperson of the year' by Tata steel in 2012. She received Rs 500 as a stipend amount.   Her greatest achievement is an Outstanding Performance Award at 2010 Sahara Sports Award. Deepika Kumari profile boost is the inspiration for the youngsters.

The Indian Archery Association announced the Recurve Mixed team won Bronze medal in 2013. Ch. Jignas wins Gold medal in Individual  event. Bombayla won the Individual Bronze medal and Das won bronze in the same event. The upcoming events are 2nd NRAT  at Jamshedpur. In Women's Archery category she lost the event in four set points. In the all set event she scored 26 points against Amy.
