Premier League club Manchester United players are definitely beheld on a league of their own. Manchester United has, is and always will be regarded as a footballing collection of the most idiosyncratic and talented spitfires of football players known to the modern day football aficionados.

The Manchester United club is known to have collected and even made most of the existing stars of football. Take some of the most celebrated football players in the history, whether it is on a long term contract basis or loan spells, they must have played for Manchester United at some point in their life. Football heavyweights such as Park Ji-Sung, Mark Hughes, Rio Ferdinand, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and the infamous David Beckham have all donned the red and white costume and responded to the term ‘Red Devils’. And, now joining that list of elites is Robin Van Persie who is currently the striker for the team.

Van Persie embarked on the journey to football glory when he joined the SBV Excelsior's youth squad as a kid of fourteen years. The following year, he signed with the Feyenoord and made a significant move to Arsenal. He has spent most of his professional football career with the Gunners, helping them to a number of championships. During his time with the club, he has garnered a considerable amount of plaudits such as the Premier League Player of the Month which he won three times and the Rotterdam Sportsman of the year award which he took home in 2006. Robin Van Persie profile is nothing if not impressive. His statistics alone had the clubs fighting each other out for a contract with the star, during the 2012 transfer window. But as luck and the force that joins all things epic, would have it, Van Persie found his way to the Manchester United, as if it was fate.

A month after he signed a four year contract with the club worth Euro 22.5 million, he scored a hat trick which helped the United to a 3-2 victory over Fulham and in the process justified the price tag on his head. In January 2013, he scored the iconic goal that not only pushed Manchester United to a 2-1 victory against arch rivals Liverpool, but also earned him the favored ‘Man of the Match’ title from the fans themselves. This is apparently his 17th goal of this Premier League season. He keeps this up and he is well on his way to having his spot on the Manchester United hall of fame.
