There are many reasons to exercise but I think the most important one is that you can get your family involved and make it an everyday event to do with your family. It will show your kids that you care about their health and you want to spend time with them.  Whether you play a baseball game or go for a walk this will give your family a chance to start a healthy program together.  You can take the kids on a nature walk, play a game of basketball or other outdoor game or have friendly races to see who the fastest runner of the family is.

Another reason to exercise is it will benefit your health.  Some of the reasons that exercise benefits the body is that it reduces blood pressure, diabetes, reduces body fat, builds muscle mass, and keeps bones strong.  Whether you are 5 or 60 anyone that is physically able should exercise at least 3-4 times a week it will benefit your life better.   You have more energy to spend whether it’s with the kids or friends and family.  Exercise is also use to help rehabilitate you after an accident or is use to help you quit a bad habit by replacing it with exercise.  If you exercise during the day it will help you sleep better at night.

After you have established an exercising routine you should stick with it.  Sometimes it is hard to commit to an exercise program especially with all the activities you have in your life, like cooking and cleaning, working and running a family.  If you can get a routine down then exercising could be just like breathing.  Working out will also reduce depression and anxiety.  Exercising is a fun way to keep your body healthy and a fun way to spend time with the family.
