The Cayman Islands are a popular destination for both vacationing and relocating, and, when travelling or moving to a new place, it is very important to research the available healthcare. The majority of  health resources here can be found in Grand Cayman, the largest and most densely populated of the islands. While individuals embarking on a move to the Caribbean must consider the locations and availability of doctors and dentists, both those who are travelling and potential island citizens must consider the presence and reputation of Cayman medical centres, hospitals and emergency services as well. The following are some of the best hospitals and medical centres in the Cayman Islands.

Bodden Town Health Centre

Cayman's Bodden Town Health Centre offers nursing services, doctor and dentist appointments, vaccines and laboratory services. While the former is available for adults and children Monday through Saturday, patients can book appointments with doctors on Mondays and Thursdays between 5 and 8pm, and on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am to 12pm. Emergency dental services are available on designated days, with routine dental appointments available by appointment.

Cayman Islands Hospital

The Cayman Islands hospital is located in George Town, the capital of Grand Cayman, at 95 Hospital Road. A modern facility with over 120 beds, this medical centre is two floors and the main hospital used by locals in the islands. This establishment offers a very broad range of services, therapies and departments, including those related to maternity, wellness, emergency, pediatrics, physiotherapy, gynaecology, oncology, psychology and pain management.

Little Cayman Health Centre

Located on Spot Bay Road, this medical centre is situated in Little Cayman, the smallest of the islands. Established in 1998, this centre provides care to residents and visitors of this small island and, in addition to having a registered nurse on staff, doctors visit regularly from larger hospitals. The facility houses an ambulance, which is properly equipped in case of emergency situations, and the Little Cayman Health Centre  is open from 9am to 1pm on Mondays and Fridays, from 1 to 5pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and from 9am to 3pm on Wednesdays.

North Side Health Centre

The North Side Health Centre is situated near the popular tourist attractions Kaibo Beach and Rum Point. While the centre itself is open and nursing is available from 830am to 4pm Monday to Friday, and from 830am to 12pm on Saturday, the general practice clinic is open on Tuesdays and Fridays only. An ambulance is available 24 hours a day for emergencies and vaccines are available twice a month, on Wednesdays.

Faith Hospital

Faith Hospital is located in Cayman Brac, at 215 Dennis Foster Road. Available to the people of both Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, this hospital is small, at under 20 beds, and specializes in primary and emergency care. Within the field of primary care, Faith Hospital offers services in general medicine, obstetrics, surgery, gynaecology and anaesthetics. While specialists from the Cayman Islands hospital visit frequently, there is only one resident physician at this location.
